OUR MISSION: MAKE BANK RESEARCH EASY AND INSIGHTFUL
The idea behind FIG Insight was simple. As voracious researchers of banks, we wanted a tool to help us easily understand and compare the financial health and performance of a community bank.
Couldn't find one.
All the existing services we used or tested were clunky, rigid, pedestrian and/or (super) expensive.
So we created our own service.
OUR FOUNDERS: WE LIVE, BREATHE AND RESEARCH COMMUNITY BANKS
Superb bank performance data and research tools were critical to the success of our own businesses – we also own Monroe Financial Partners, Inc. (a trading, advisory and capital markets firm focused on community banks www.MonroeFP.com), and Siena Capital Partners (a community bank stock fund www.SienaCapital.net).
Our development goal was threefold: (1) to put a bank’s performance metrics into a digestible and insightful format that can identify trends over time; (2) to put that performance into context against the bank's peers, both UBPR and custom peer groups; and (3) to make the entire process fast and easy.
HENCE: FIG INSIGHT WAS BORN
To build this research platform, we teamed up with an affiliate company, QwickRate® (www.QwickRate.com), which has been serving the needs of community banks since 1986. QwickRate currently provides roughly 3,000 institutional subscribers online access to its premier, non-brokered CD Marketplace for funding and investing. QwickRate already offers a similar version of our product under the QwickAnalytics® brand (www.QwickAnalytics.com) to several hundred of its bank subscribers.
